Just picked up a new pointy stick

I know there are a few collectors of sharp pointy objects in this forum, so I thought I would share my purchase with ya.

Its a Benchmade 732 Ares
3.6" 154CM stainless steel spearpoint blade
Handle is textured G10 fiberglass and is 4.7" closed w/ AXIS lock

I'm attaching two shots because one is a better shot of the blade and the other is a better view of the handle material

I can't believe the fit/finish on these knives. They look and feel great.

This is just the start to my collection, as I have my eye on a few other Benchmades. Whats in everyone else's collection?

Got my new one in today.

Benchmade 960 Osborne
-Red anodized aluminium handle with G10 inserts (same material as the entire handle of my other Benchmade)
-Blue anodized titanium backspacer/ spine
-3.12" D2 Tool Steel polished blade
-Axis locking system (same as the other one)

The flash of the camera screws up the visual color of the G10 handle material. Its really a charcoal black (same shade of black as the belt clip on the black knife), not a weird gray like you see in the pictures. I guess I have to work on my photography skills when taking pictures of shiny pointy sticks

You can kinda make out the blue titanium backspacer in this one and the next shot

Here they are together

Those are cool. I don't know anything about photography, but maybe try turning the flash off and turning on a different light, like a lamp.

If I get bored enough, I'll try using my Ott light again like i used in the original picture of the first knife, but this time I will use the light behind the camera instead of in front of the camera so I don't get weird shadows

Here's what i got by turning off the flash and using an Ott light. The first shot is about the best in terms of accurately depicting the color of the black G10

I can't afford them yet, but that will be next I've got my eye on either a Sig P226 or P229, but I want to take some classes first. I've also been eyeing a slightly used Sig GSR 1911 @ the Kittery Trading Post the last few times I've been up there.

1911 = best model handgun EVER

I'm pissed I had to get rid of mine when I did. I will own another one someday.

I agree with you Will, I sold my Springfield 1911 when I moved from New Mexico. Still want to replace it.
