Cat issues

I like cats as much as dogs, just in a different way. I had to put down one of my cats last year. Adopted her, turned out she was old and had a heart condition, couldn't do anything about it. It sucked. Nicest cat too, always giving affection. My other cat is still around, dumb as shit, a little strange, but fun. Not affectionate though. I'd like to think I'd take her out back and cook her for dinner if she was sick, but I'd fork it over just like last time. I grew up with cats and dogs (sorry, 1 cat for 14 years, two dogs over 22 years) so we took care of them. They deserve it.

Honestly, I like cats just as much as dogs, but because they can not communicate to me exactly what is happening to them but they are physcially suffering, it is better to put them down!

you guys crack me up.....

many good suggestions. It def would be a different story with a dog because dogs are atleast obediant to the owners.

As far as payment yes I will maintain a certain attitude "your cats you pay", but we have been dating so long that I would help her pay if she needed.

-we did get some news that the x-rays came back and they don't think she will need surgery, but its still not completely out. Maybe I'll take control and use some of the suggestions given...light it on fire, yank it out, give her some antifreeze..I mean oil to help her go .

True story....

An old neighbor of mine, Timmy Fuller (may his soul rest in peace) told me this story when I was about 10 years old...

He lived next door to this woman that had a cat.... she hated the cat... pissed & shat all over the place... always bitching about her stupid cat.

So she goes away on a vacation & before she left she asked my neighbor if he would take care of it for her while she was gone... she said

"Timmy... can you take care of my damn cat while i'm away?"
"U sure?"
"Yes, take care of my cat while i'm away"
"........ take care of your cat....."
".... Yes...."
"........................................ ok"

She comes back from her vacation, cat's no where to be found...

"Timmy, where's my cat?"
"What?"
"Where's my cat?"
"What do you mean, where's your cat? You told me to take care of it."
"..... Timmy, what'd you do???"
"You're always talkin bout how you hate that damn thing & you told me to take care of it... so i thought you meant... TAKE CARE OF IT... so I did"
"WHAT???"
"yeah.... I drowned it in the bathtub"

to that she replied "Oh well... it's better off dead"

Some chick I knew had a cat that once ate a marble. Bound the little fucker ALL up. Vet told her to give it some kitty laxitive. The cat's laying next to her on the couch the next day and SHOOTS the marble out, along with about 18" of shit! Big ol' line of shit stretchin' out across her couch, with the marble way down at the beginning of it. Funniest fuckin' thing I've seen I tell ya!

Cat issues

My wife and I went on vacation for 4 days and asked her mom to watch the house.

We return from our trip finding out that the cat got sick one day and wouldn't stop throwing up. She was nice enough to clean it up for us. Anyway, her mom got concerend about the cat and brought it to the vet without telling us. So we were greeted with a welcome home from our 4 days away from home and an ....oh by the way, the cat is at the vet.

ok they had done about 700 bucks worth of diagnostics work on the cat.

I went to pick it up. I told the doc and the owner of the vet clinic I did not authorize the work. They said they couldn't release the cat without payment. I gave them my congrats on their new pet and headed for the door.

They couldn't understand the economics of a free cat(yes we got it for free, and it was gonna cost more than 50% of the value to fix the animal so I totaled it out like any insurance company would).

Too late to make a long story short... but the doc said the cat had a condition that needed to be fixed by surgery or it would die. My wife was heartbroken that I wouldn't pay for the cat, but she understood the economics of it too.

So I headed for the door again and the Doc said they can't keep my cat there. I told them its not my cat.... She hands the cat to me... tears up the bill since there was no authorizing signature to do the work they done.... and told me to have a nice day. I left with the cat.

6 years later we stil have teh cat with the "terminal condition" unless its fixed by surgery.

Trust me.... lying to your wife/girlfriend is never a good idea.

If it doesn't pass it in a few days - a quick shot to the paw... $20 bucks and done... "Gee Honey, I don't know what happened, I went out in the driveway to get the paper... I must have left the door open and Fluffy must have snuck out..."

My buddy went through a cat scenario with his girlfriend. Feline lukemia. She paid about $4500 in treatments for the damn thing to get cured. Two days after getting it home it got hit by a car... Good luck, personally if it was my girlfriends cat my wallet would stay in my pocket if she chose the treatment...
