Cat issues

I dont mind cats but I would rather a dog. I had dog in the family most of my life.

Cats eat, sleep, and climb on your shit (even though you try to tell them a thousand times not to).

Last night I get a call from my GF that one of her cats (she has two) ate something that looks like dental floss and its hanging from her butt. It couldn't be pulled out so the vet sent her to Tufts Animal Hospital/School in Grafton. I met her there after work and they went through the scenarios. Sometimes they have to preform surgery because it tangles around their gut and intestines. So my GF is willing to do what ever it takes and I'm looking at the $$ estimates they are eagerly throwing out. On the cheap side a few hundred dollars for an emergency check up and inspection if she passes it through her system herself. The high end is $3k for surgery to remove it if she can't pass it.

I like animals but that $ is rediculous. So obviously if the cat needs surgery then we will ok it(more so my GF...). I think about it and say we are out 3 g's because the stupid cat chewed on something, swallowed it and can't pass it through.

I know people that spent crazy amount of money on animals....

So hope that she can pass it!

Explain to her that for 3k you can get a much better cat than she had before. Women are not logical and sometimes need help seeing the basic economics of the decision; she will appreciate your insightfulness and be impressed by your cat-accounting skills.

Kill the cat, blame it on dental floss related complications. Bribe the vet $20 to confirm. Done and DONE!

Just make the cat disappear. Claim it ran out the door past you when you were leaving.

Alternatively: Anti-Freeze. Delicious, and nutritious.

Well I heard that cats are moody animals and only will come to you if they need you. For ex: they only show up for affection, when they're in the mood for it. They'll only run to the door when you come home if they're hungry. They'll only chase your shoelaces when they're in the mood to play.

They don't do anything for you, they're the kind of animal that does everything for themselves.

So to show that piece of shit who runs the show and pull on that floss out as quickly and firmly as you possibly can in the hopes that it tears apart its large intestine.

mt cat was free. I already explained to the wife that if the cat gets sick and it's expensive to have fixed - cat dies and I'll get her another free one.

Trim the dental floss off and drop it off at the local chinese joint. You'll probably get a free scorpion bowl or two. MMMMM Scorpion bowls.............I think I want chinese for lunch.

I can say for sure if my dog gets cancer or some disease that they need a lot of care and meds I will not do it....but these injuries are hard to say no too...

When my GF was living with me during the floods her two cats were living at my place. One of them snuck out the door and took off, granted the little fucker came back in a couple days I have never in my life seen my GF be so mentally insane and inconsiderate to me because apparently the dumb pussy means more to her than me. I almost dumped her ass because of it.

Making the cat disappear is a bad idea, She will never shut-up. Trust me.

What would I do if I was in your situation? Pay 3g's? I think not. I probably would tell her that instead of paying 3's on her cat that I'll spend 3'g on a ring for her (along with a prenup agreement). That should cloud her mind for a bit.

and may a add a ROFL to the fact your gf's cat is walking around with dental floss coming out of it's ass!! ahhaha... hilarious.

Cat has leash.

I think this is a shitty situation....

I really would look at at home vet treatment....
Force feed a syringe 2 to 4 oz of mineral oil

The cat will shit his brains out but probably will pass anything.

I seriuosly would give it a gentle tug as it might be only 10 inches long

If your chicken at least check with a 2nd vet I am sure there is a cheaper alternative then a university hospital

I was gonna suggest cod liver oil, 4 oz or so from a syringe. That's all the vet is gonna do if the vet admits the cat overnight.

If its "HER" cat then why would "WE" (meaning including you) be out 3k. It's her fucking cat let her get it fixed. My GF has 2 cats and she would be on her own to get it fixed if it was her cat in the situation. I can't fucking stand cats. Now my dog on the other hand I would have to consider all options. She is my baby.

Or even do that first, I'd pay 5 bucks to see that, get enough people and there's your 3g's

Make no mistake - I would jump through hoops for a dog no questions asked - even if the doggy wasn't mine - but not cats. I fuckin hate cats.

Mineral oil because it can not be digested and must pass through

Of course WD-40 has the straw on it already

And really there is also the enema option.

For a CAT??? Fuck that, they're a dime-a-dozen. And they basically suck...

For a dog, no questions. In a heartbeat...
