guilty of Squiding/attempting

So I went out to a service road tonight and tried to Clutch up a wheelie in 2nd. I have never clutched up the bike because Im OCD and didn't want to hurt or create unneccessary wear on the Clutch. Tonight was different. I felt like apologizing to my bike afterwards. I must of tried to clutch it up 10 or 15 times over the coarse of 20 minutes. NO Go.Couldnt do it. I rev'd the piss out of her and the best I got was a tiny hop in the front.. Never achieved lift off. I dont know how dudes do that to there bikes all the time...That Can't be good at All for anything, the suspension, the gears , The Chain, or the clutch. I felt guilty afterwards. All that beaten...And I never got it up. I tried at slow speeds and at higher speeds. All I could think was I hope this isn't killing my chain and sprockets...For Those of you with Squid in the jeans...What did I do wrong. :

That is the sole reason why your bike burns oil!

Firefag you were a squid long before you went to a service road. Are you sure it wasn't a rest area off of 128 where you were allegedly trying to "clutch it up"?

Most real squids clutch em up in town through school zones. You gotta represent man.

You're replying to your own posts and have to wonder if you have OCD?

Also, chill the fuck out before you write something. Your posts read like a third grade book report. Needs less brain dump, more coherent flow of thought from one sentence to the next.

"The mouse and the motorcycle, the mouse had a motorcycle, and he liked it but then he crashed his motorcycle and bumped his head so they made him a helmet out of a pingpong ball and then he was safe and he went vroom vroom vroom all around the carpet and he was happy and that is why this was a good book and I liked it very much the end."

Determinism need not apply with OCD!

Relax though. I was trying to be clever but my intarweb funny apparently didn't show up.

You can fail to clutch up 4 wheelies per friction plate in your bike before you have to install new ones or run the risk of having your clutch literally explode!

YOu know i'm gonna open up my bike the next time I change the oil. BTW. Im a doosh. I think I tried clutching it all wrong. I rev'd the rpms High a bunch of times and just dumped the clutch. OUCh...Do you guys think I could have fudged anything just by this one Bike beating incident?
P.S. IT was on a service road after the last exit of an expressway in NY

Load and unload

Can you loft the front wheel using power only?

Roll on hard gas, close throttle quickly, forks will fall then rebound.

On the rebound roll on the gas hard, the front should come up.

Cover the rear brake, stay loose on the bars, and weight back in the saddle. Don't try and tug the bars, tense on bars = rough landing.

You could have bent the cannaster rod or burned the bearing trying to clutch it up like you did. Listen carefully for any ticking noise in the motor.

Maybe your clutch is already ruined, as your bike wont do a wheelie.

You fuckin pussy.

check your swingarm... it might be the factory extended version that makes for harder wheelies

Classic. I didn't see that one. I dug my own grave with this Thread. BTW -Dhuze I was asking for the screw driver comment. What is a cannister ROd?? Are you talking about the lifter piece and the bearing in the center of the pressure plate??

Mine makes this funny popping noise, more frequently when I open the throttle. Not so much a ticking as much as it sounds like small explosions. Funny though, all the sound comes out the tail pipe. Is this normal?

I think it starts pulling hard between 7 & 9k until justbefore redline. I'm a shmuck. I'm never doing this again. I'm probably gonna reseal my crankcase cover with high temp silicone the next time I change the oil. I'll inspect the basket then. what should I look for in terms of visible wear other than discoloration in the disc?

Screw it. Im pulling it apart today to check the plates. Just found out that the way I dumped the clutch is one of only ways you can get a plate to shatter. The problem is , you don't always know right away whether or not damage has been done. It just becomes a downward spiral. Im not risking it. mY dumbass should have thought twice. I'm gonna reseal my crankcase on that side anyways so i may as well pull the basket out and check for damage.
