This time around I decided I'd rather have a phat warranty and not hassle with ordering all the parts (i.e. building my own like I did with the last one...more or less)....

P4 2.4Ghz
1G of ram (yes, one gig!)
40G drive...etc.

This is gonna be my dedicated recording workstation in my home studio. I can't wait to get it! The cool thing is I got free ground shipping...so by the time I get back from Texas it should almost be here.

And once I get better at this recording shit (making good progress so far), maybe I'll post some mp3's up or something.

The M-Audio Audiophile 2496, which is the one I've been using right along. It's bad-ass. I have my scsi external burner that I'm keeping as well....and I'll keep the drives from my old system too (60G each).

Nope, I'm definately right. This card is well-known as being one of the best pro recording cards for the money. In fact it was the first soundcard in 10 years to take the title of "soundcard of the year" from soundblaster.
