Good tip.

When making an hour and a half drive home starting at 2am in the morning, and you have to wake up for work at 530am, dont slam down 2 Redbulls on the way home. This could be either a really long, or short hour and a half before I need to wake up for work.

Good luck with that, you should have taken some dexedrine and bumped a few rails just to make sure you could get to bed.

Melatonin is actually a decent helper at times like this, it's never killed 2 RedBulls (straight up) that I know of, but it helped me make an early am appointment after a night if jagerbombs the night before. The shit is magic and has no ill effects, I should be sponsored by it.

...of course as I type this, its still my monday night, do as I say not as I do...

+1 on Melatonin. I've tried Tylenol PM....bullshit. I was sleeping alright, but waking up with the worse hangover. Then my physician and pharmacist suggested Melatonin, it's a natural substance found in the brain, but as we grow older, apparently the amount is diminishing, and this is what regulates your sleep. You can find it in the natural product section of your pharmacy. It is non habit forming. Take it about half an hour before going to bed. You will sleep like a baby, and wake up refreshed in the morning. But, you have to make sure you have at least 6 hours to devote to your sleep, or else you will fall asleep on the clock.

Interesting, I typically take it when zoning from jet lag or something or...ok I admit it, every day

But seriously, I've found it typically just gets me to sleep...once asleep it is very easy to wake up anywhere outside of 2 hours. Then again it is natural and will have different effects on different people.

It's good that Dr's are recommending it...2 in my past did not know about it/believe in it. I actually got the advice from a 3rd shift pharmacist one night by chance. My present Dr. then became an advocate and also suggested it

Yeah, I use the Tylenol PM route usually if I oversleep one day, and know I'll have a hard time getting to bed that night and wont be able to afford staying up all night. It does leave you ridiculously groggy in the morning though.

Good pointer on the melatonin. I dont necessarily need the Tylenol PM either, I sleep like a rock anyways.

I got a solid hour of sleep before work, on top of a few other things going on, it was definitely an interesting day at work.

Better to be awake on Red Bull than asleep around a tree!
