he offered to buy me a new helmet but I declined... I know he doesnt have the money and I think I can live with the damage. the crack is on my air vent and not on the skull of the helmet....

I more pissed just at the fact that of how people can be so careless.

ok so the story goes like this... the kid that dropped the helmet was talking to me and one other guy about bikes. The other guy was like, "i have a contour"... I'm like okay. Then the kid with fumbleitis asked to see my helmet. which was closet to the guy with the contour. He says "I don't touch other peoples stuff" but handed my helmet to him anyways.. Not even two seconds later WHACK, he drops it on the corner of his desk. Bends down to pick it up and puts his hand over the crack to hand it back to me... I should have just cracked his head with it but instead showed him what he did and made him fell like an ass.



Luckily for me it's on the air vent and not the actual skull. Some epoxy and touchup should do the trick.

Lucky its just the air vent...had the shell itself been cracked, the lid would be useless...an expensive anti-fumbling lesson. One thing...make sure you get the right kind of glue...some glues can turn plastic into goo. Superglue might be ok to use. If only the vent itself could be replaced....
