Hey All,

I am helping a "friend" with a business start up idea. I have been researching NH Business Laws and various websites having to do with NH Economy.

I just wanted input and thoughts from other people on the site who have started there own business.

Make sure corporate structure is best for taxes

Read 2 or 3 books before the cash goes down.

I think

75 % of new businesses fail in the 1st year
85% never have a 5 year anniversary.

Make a business plan both best and worse estimate with spreadsheet see accountant for expense catagories and estimate.

Usual story

Inherit 2 years salary
Invest in business or franchise
do little or nothing for 12 to 18 months
run out of money give up.

Franchise companies are in the business of selling franchises. If they really knew how to make a fortune in __BLANK__ they would just do it not sell it to you.
