So this girl i'm kinda seeing... she's a hairdresser... the other day she's cuttin my hair & starts talkin about her scizzors & how she's all protective of her shit cuz they're so expensive... like 3-400 bucks a fuckin pair, no joke. I'm like "holy fuckin shit, that's retarded" so she pulls this analogy outta her ass that they're like motorcycle racing equipment... gotta pay to play kinda thing... spend top dollar for good shit & you get good performance. I'm like "aight, cool, whatever"... I can see what she's sayin but still think it's a waste of money. I mean with bikes it's all about the rider... we all know a great rider on a 20 year old POS bike can beat a squid on a spankin new gixxer any day of the week in the twisties...

... so i guess her analogy was spot on cuz tonight I'm washin my hands after takin a shit, look in the mirror & see a whole bunch of longer hairs stickin out of the side where she missed... I fixed the haircut she gave me w/ those 300 dollar scizzors w/ a 2 dollar AA battery operated POS hair trimmer as I thought to myself "pfft... fuckin squid"

It's all about the hairdresser indeed, not the scissors. You're right, her analogy is pretty screwed up. I've done my hairdresser course. Spending 3-400 on a pair of scissors is indeed fuckin stupid. You can get an excellent pair for about $100.

I'd actually make the anology that spending $300-$400 for a pair of scissors is comparable to one spending a huge chunk of dough for bling-bling on a bike.

it doesn't really serve a purpose from a performance standpoint, but looks really cool when you cruise Landsdowne.
