anyone drive below the speed limit on highways?

On the mass pike, I'm usually going 65-80ish depending on traffic, and can't see any reason to drive below 65 when the weather conditions are good.

Does anyone here do it? Sub 65 anyone?

I understand that 65 is technically the fastest speed to go, but man, it was frusterating as hell when people were hovering around 55-58mph

The only time I"ll not speed at least a *little* on the highway, bike or car, is when theres snow on the ground.

You should have seen me on the bike in a torrential downpour on my way home from the semi-big group ride back in June in VT.......

Lets just say I was already in a rush to get home, but once the rain came down in sheets, I wanted home even worse.

Interstate highways, I'm usually 10-15 over. Keeps the fines within reason...

Local highways (we're talkin' NH here don't forget), whenever possible I'm about 10 over...

I'm still a firm believer that speed limits are mere suggestions, open to individual interpretations. The lawboys always seem to interpret them a bit different though....

Hell no. 65 MPH is my interpretation of "the slowest speed allowed" on the highway.

I am a 75-80'er unless the weather is subpar. I have a hard time seeing in rain, so I slow down, but I at least get the fuck out of the way (i.e. I'm not cruising at 60mph in the passing lane)

My Mercedes used to top out at 50 MPH on any sort of upward incline when the temperature dropped below freezing. It was actually kind of fun to watch people fly by me all "frusterated".
Plus, I had Road Rage Cards to occupy my time.
