Hey Higher Ups, and Everyone else...


I was thinking this morning that so many of you have kids that there should be a kid section..to post pics and stories.

My concern is that on this page with all the NWS stuff and then kid pictures..if someone were to mix them up, or take something the wrong way....

I just want everyone to be safe and feel safe.

What do people think about that idea?

Maybe it could be a members only area as well....since you are sharing something so precious and private from your life.

I was just trying to come up with something that would help keep it safer, especially with how battered some threads get...

I thought a member only area for kids pictures would be more appropriate then putting them up next to NWS posts.

It would be nice to have a place where you could brag about your kids, posts pics, and not have to worry about anyone.

That's all i'm saying....

I don't even have kids but...

maybe i've been watching too much CSI and shows like that. It seems the web is getting people in sticky situations....

Just thought I was being pro-active. Maybe it doesn't concern most people, if not...then no bother.

Ok, if the thread has NWS in the title, chances are its probably got some nekkid pictures in it. If the name of the thread is "look how cute my daughter is carving a pumpkin", then, I would assume most people should be able to discern the difference between which thread has pictures of naked wimmins, and which one has pictures of not naked wimmins in it.

I'm a parent of 3 and I don't like the idea of giving these degenerates a visual aid to seek out my kids.

Was never comforatble with having the kids photos out on the net anywhere, where people who I don't know could see them.

But if people want to then they can easliy title the thread, "Hey looks pics of my kids" and if it can be locked to subscribers only what is to stop people from subscribing and looking at them anyway. I don't think there is a real secure way to do it.

I am a member of cycleforums as well, and we have a locked sub-forum on the all-girls section about weight loss and fitness. So many were concerned about posting up personal info and pictures that it is locked - not just to non-members, but to members as well. You have to PM a mod and request special permission to be involved, and even then, if the mod doesn't know you due to lack of posting, or newbieness, or just doesn't trust your motives, there is a chance you would not get approved. The downside is it means more work for our mods, but it is possible if there is interest.

That way, kiddy-touchers can't just "stumble upon" pics of your kids.

My boyfriend has 2 kids...and I'm starting to be involved in there life...

and the strew of pregnant people around here having babies...with proud daddies...

this sight is so friendly and family like..and most people have met each other...i've been to Stoneman's house and trackdays...

there is a good core of people here....

I've been told I trust to easily...so I've decided to be cautious for awhile and I was thinking about all those cute baby pics of Nikon's....

and i was thinking about all those baby snatching stories coming out of the mid west....

I just wanted to know what peoples thoughts were...

Ya advertising a kid area might bring in more strangers in a bad way...locked forum sounds safe but a pain in the ass to mods...

but maybe just a thought thrown to people to not put out emails or real names when posting so they can't be tracked because of said kids...

am i making any sense?
