From vinyl to CD

I know a couple of you guys have a shit ton of vinyl records & I was wondering if there's an easy way to take a record & burn what's on there onto a CD.

My mom's b-day is Saturday & she asked me if I could do that for her.

Yah hook up a turntable to your computer, record/encode the audio, burn a CD.

Easy but time consuming and requires said turntable.

CD players are backwards compatible, you just have to trim the vinyl a little bit until it fits.

Yep, and if you put a copy of "St Pepper's" in a DVD player after trimming it and type:

"E:/John is alive, run VTR/YK"..at the dos prompt,

You'll see a windows media movie of Yoko stabbing Paul, Ringo and George with a bread knife at Abby Road studios.

It's true, I read it on the internet on my friend Spud's blog.

I think the only way to make that joke funnier is if you rented a crane to lift it up. Things are always funnier when they're lifted up by a crane.
