TV Repair?????

Anyone know anything about TV repair? It's an RCA 35" tube TV. Went to turn it on today and nothin! No power. I pulled the back off to check the fuse and it's good. WTF? Any other thoughts?

I know I should just use it for target practice and buy an LCD, but if I can fix it quickly, I'll keep it.

Unless it's in a store next week for 5k+, it's just not worth fixing anymore, sadly.

TV Repair?????

We have a 1990 vintage, 27" Sony that died in the same manner 3 years ago. After I replaced it with an HDTV, we found a guy in Exeter NH that fixes TVs. He diagnosed it over the phone and repaired it for $70. It works perfectly. He said problems like you described are very easy to repair. It was an in-stock IC on the power supply that died on ours.

With luck, you can find a local shop that does repairs (and probably does home theater installs/consulting as well). I'd look for a local home theater specialist.
