I was driving down I-84 west in CT in the rain. I was going about 80 in the left lane passing a tandem truck. I was halfway up the side when he decides he is comming into my lane without looking. He is halfway in my lane before I notice he's comming. I have 2 choices hit the truck, or go off the road. I choose the latter out if instinct. I missed the trees and the rocks. I knew where they were but couldn't see them because of the water and mud covering my windshield. Thankfully I only ended up stuck in the ditch.

I slid about 100 yards

damn dude, that's no fun.... I had the pleasure of that happening to me while i was on the bike... luckilly I was in the far right lane so he forced me into the break-down lane & into traffic that was entering the highway on my right.... there was a state trooper on the other side of the truck that saw the whole thing... he didn't even flinch

As for the van... you might need a crane for that one

The trooper didn't even care about the truck driver. All I know was the trailer had A.C.E , there were words but I don't remember what they were. Tha "A" was "air" There was a picture of a prop plane coming head on over the side view of a truck. I hanen't found them online YET.

Your right. I tried to push a tandem rig onto the road and I didn't make it. Thanks for setting me straight.

Next time I get cut off I'm going to do the same thing to someone who never did anything to me just to get even.

Maybe you didn't read the part where I said he came into MY lane, without signaling , without looking in the pouring rain.
On occasion I drive box trucks too and I get cut off , but I don't do it to other drivers..

Maybe you didn't read what I wrote.. If he indeed did not look, then he is an idiot and i won't defend him, I'm not saying i would do it to get even either, people do not realize the blind spots that exist in a big truck, and it is easier then you think for a car to muscle a truck, when i am going down the road and some dumb ass on his cell phone in the lane to the left of me decides he is about to miss his exit, so he decides to yarn over into the right lane in front of my 100,000+LBS truck full of 11,000 gallons of flamable liquid, and he slams on the breaks infront of me while i'm rolling at 65mph, and contrary to belief i can't stop on a dime just because i have more breaking axles, I don't run him over because i'm mad at him.. Or when i'm trying to come to a stop at a light or a stop sign or for slowing traffic and people just keep cutting infront of me, thus shortening my stopping distance i do everything i can to stop, because i really do not want to kill anyone.. I have 2 good friends who drive and have had Fatal accidents that were not there fault, and even that being the case it doen't make it any easier to live with.. This happens all day long every day.. The shit i see people doing while they are driving 90mph on the highway, makes me want to cry, I'm not saying you did anything wrong, and there are plenty of shithead truck drivers on the road, but trust me the shitheads in cars far out number the trucks.. Remember NO ONE ever wants to get stuck behind the slow truck so they will do anything to get by..

I remember the days when the best drivers on the road were the truckers. I get cut off by trucks constantly. This is the first time I couldn't do anything except go off the road. As for the blind spot I was half way up the side of his trailers. I had my headlights on. If he looked at all he would have seen a full sized maroon van.
