Does the M4 require a cheek pad on the butt stock because of how high the scope sits? Or do you guys find it's ok w/o it?

It fits perfect for me a slight tilt inward but nothing to bad.

Hey trick is that a Remington 700SP? I'm thinking about getting a Browing M-1000 Eclipse A bolt in .300 win mag for reach out and touch someone type fun. All depends, I'm looking at different clubs in my area, trying to find one with a nice long range.

My scope is pretty high so I can use the irons underneath it. A cheek pad would help me allot but I haven't decided what route I want to go. Do I want just a stick on pad or new stock, hmmmm.

yep, well, kinda...
It's based off of a 700 action, blueprinted to TacOps specs. McMillan stock with custom bedding, Krieger barrel, custom lug, etc. They're supposedly good to .25MOA with MAtch grade ammo.
Kind of expensive, though.

its a Trijicon Acog, and the EoTech. The Acog is crazy it has the chevron reticle and the tick marks for 4 6 and 800 yards, 4x and sweet glass, but I havent gotten to use it yet at a good distance. Looking at the EoTech through the Acog just gives me a different reticle. Once the weather gets nicer I believe i have access to 200 yards right down the road from me.

Just did a quick reading on the Acog. It sounds like a great system for that weapon. Bonus points for being made out of 7075...

I haven't seen anything beyond 200-yards around me... (Mass Rifle in Woburn maxes out at 200). Anyone know of anything longer?

The only range that I know of with a longer distance is Nashua Fish & Game in Merrimack NH. they have a 600 yd rifle range there. Pelham Fish & Game is working on a 600 yd range as well, but it will be a while before its ready. From what I hear, if you are a member and convince the right people, they will allow you to shoot @ 300 yds on the partially graded 600 yd range site.

Nice collection Roy. Do you belong to a local club? I'm looking around to join a club around here. I'd really like to find one with an indoor pistol range but I've yet to find an indoor range that allows you to shoot anything other than just lead. Does one exist or are all indoor ranges lead only? Not to mention I wouldn't mind finding a long outdoor range for when I do get to pick up the Browning M-1000 Eclipse I've been wanting.
