Any oil burner specialists?I do my own PM (dad taught me) but today I changed to a smaller nozzle (stack temp was too high and the burner was short cycling too much) and would like to re-set the air/fuel mixture, draft, etc. properly. My dad can't find his old Bacharach test kit (he's been out of the oil burner service for a few years now) so I need someone with a combustion test kit to come over and tweak my Beckett burner. It's running well, I'd just like to optimize it. Not looking for charity, willing to pay. Not in a hurry. |

Any oil burner specialists?I think JeffL used to/still does that kind of stuff. Might want to drop him a PM if he doesn't respond here first. |

Any oil burner specialists?I dont have a kit, but can get one easy enough. Although I hate to say a 2.5 hour drive is a bit much, even for me, just to run a combustion test. I'm sure you or your dad "knows a guy that knows a guy" so you could find someone to help you out locally. |

Any oil burner specialists? Thanks for replying. I agree, 2.5 hour drive would be rather silly. I am not having trouble finding anyone locally, just giving NESR folks right of first refusal. |
