So this piece of shit Conneticunt State trooper in an unmarked ltd picks me out of about 7 others doing close to 80 on 95 South. And so it begins..

I was about to pull my seat belt off to get my Rental car papers and wallet, but as I reached I had a second thought it would have been a bad idea! So leave it on and get everything ready for the cop. No problem right?? WRONG...
He stands sideways flashes his 2' flashlight on me and YELLS, licence and Registration. As he is No not yelling SCREAMING!!!!!!! I was reaching out to hand him everything.. He never took it or looked at my info...

So at this point he continues with his Screaming like I just murdered his only child... Asking if I knew why he pulled me over.. " Yeah, I was going a little too fast." He responds. (Still SCREAMING) " A LITTLE??? YOU WERE GOING OVER 80!!!!! ARE YOU TRIING TO KILL SOMEONE????"
Now in my mind I'm thinking I sure would like too right now ASSHAT...
I never had a chance to respond he kept rambling on and still SCREAMING. I interupt him because I had just about enough, and asked "why are you screaming at me?"
His Responce. Screaming still.. " YOU THINK THIS IS SCREAMING?"
I Respond, "YES"
He reponds again "WELL HOW ABOUT THIS?"
Ok here is when I thought I was a gonner....
He says. YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS HERE, FIRST YOU CAN HAVE A $300 TICKET, OR YOU CAN PROMISE ME TOO SLOW DOWN."
Here is when I went from worried about going to jail to shocked I might get out of this...
I said " I most certainly will slow down Sir."
I am not sure what the FUCK transpired or what made him decide to let me go without ever checking my ID, Registration especially after reaming me a new asshole...

NEVER in my life has anyone ever SCREAMED at me like that..... I was certainly thinking in the back of my head how I would love to kick the ever living shit out of this asshole

So why would he have let me go after that scream session?
I had my seat belt on, radar detector in plain view, but off, and my cell phone ear piece in and flashing "ON" as if I was on a call. Maybe he was thinking I had a witness on the phone that was listening to how abusive this asshat was being, or maybe he was second guessing his actions when I stood up to him and asked why he was screaming at me, yet still polite...

So my road trip to NY sucked balls... I hate 95, and have always hated everything about Conneticunt.....

Rant over.. Glad , well not really, but better here in NY without a ticket than with.....

I'm pretty sure anything over 80 is a huge pain in the ass for them as they have to do all this paper work. Once I was with my friend and we were pulled over in CT. The Statie wrote my friend a ticket for just under 80.

The worst is when they yell at you like that and still give you the ticket.

He may have let you go because you took notice that he was out of line and unproffesional and you called him out on it. I've had it happen to me twice where I said "I think you're harrassing me" when he obviously was, and he didn't instantly back off, but let me off the violations. I've had one trooper so out of line that after being patiant and polite I snapped and actually told him to give me the ticket. I literally yelled back at him, "i WANT YOU TO GIVE ME THE TICKET. WRITE ME THE TICKET. I WANT IT" And he said 'slow it down' and drove away.

I learned even if you do get a speeding ticket in CT, you can appeal it in court and they give you the option of a charitable donation vs. paying the ticket, and it doesn't go on your record. I got busted doing 85 about 5 months ago...2 weeks later I bought a radar detector.

You should try driving in Korea, our taxi driver passed a cruiser at 30% over today and the cops didn't even look at him funny. Red lights are merely suggestions, and everyone drives like they are asian... can't imagine why. Anyway, it's scary. Glad you didn't get a ticket, sorry for bustin you balls.

Try driving in Costa Rica. We got a ride with someone who we thought was a valid taxi driver but instead it was just one of the locals trying to make a buck. My friends and I crammed about 7 of us in his small car. The car was dragging parts when we went around turns. Then he hit a dog that ran out in front of us and kept going. It really got weird when a cop started to follow us with his lights on. The 'taxi driver' told us it was ok as long as the siren didn't come on. Just then the siren comes on and the 'taxi driver' starts taking these side streets trying to lose the cops. Soon as we lost the cops he kicked us all out of the car and we got a real cab.

I don't think Korean cops write many speeding tickets. They have cameras for that, 'least they did when I was there.

I love it when you're in a gray taxi and the driver picks up other passengers. Seems so odd, but it makes perfect sense in the whole scheme of things.
