Xbox 360 ownersYou need to connect your 360 to XBox Live and get the updates. There was an update that came over the network in November to enable 1080p output. If you have already done that then I would start looking at FAQs for your TV.. you have a Sony TV right? Some of them have had issues accepting 1080p over VGA IIRC. VGA is your best bet though.. this is why I was asking about PS3 last week.. I had a little bit of a PITA process but now that it's setup my 360 looks fantastic. |

Xbox 360 ownersIt should just come up! Poke around in the System menu and see if there is a "check for updates" section? You should see a list of resolutions like 640x480, 720x480, 1024x568, 1280x720, etc.. 1080p is approximately 1920x1080 @ 60hz. That's the one that should work for your TV if you see it. If you're seeing 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i in the menu with the VGA cable something is screwy.. you should only see them listed like that with the component cable. |

Xbox 360 ownersdid some research my tv has vga but no good for 1080P according to sony the sxrd up coverts the 1080i signal to 1080p beacuse my tv is a native 1080P tv. I did get a pop up when I first turned on the xbox. I tried changing the settings in the system settings folder on live to 1080P and nothing came up blank screen? So I'm not sure If it is up converting... I beleive my tv only oputs 1080P through hdmi. |

Xbox 360 ownersI would set it to 720p then and let the TV upscale it and display it at 1080p. It might not look as good but it's probably better then 1080i. 720p is 60 frames per second. 1080i is essentially 30 frames per second. You probably want to stick with 720 since the games are actually 720 except for 1-2 new ones? NBA Street Homecourt is 1080p native and Virtua Tennis is supposed to be but that's about it. I tried the demo of the NBA Street game and it's just bizarre.. can't say I'll be buying that one. It's more like a combination of a basketball game and a fighting game and the computer can do all kinds of ridiculous stuff and the demo doesn't tell you how to do any of it. |

Xbox 360 ownersYah go get the full version of Rainbow 6 so you can play with Bentbryan and I. I've had the game for a long time but didn't play it at all, he got it recently.. so we'd probably be decently matched. I don't remember if you can play Rainbow 6 co-op through the main levels but I would love to do that if you can. |

Xbox 360 ownersWho cares.. the article is 11 months old and totally wrong 1 year later. Tons of TVs accept 1080p input now, prices have fallen like a rock, and projection TVs are no longer as good of a buy as they were when he wrote the article. There was no HD-DVD or Blue-Ray then either. Almost all the articles about HDTV are out of date just like that one. |

Xbox 360 ownersDidn't GRAW2 come out like last week? If you're beating games that fast you're going to kick our asses. At the moment I still have to "beat" Turbotax before I can really dive into R6! |

Xbox 360 ownersYea I beat it in 2 nights, I'm not used to the xbox's controllers but a little back ground in my gaming. I was on a clan in Socom3 and 3.5 and we played in cash tournments and we won a lot! We won a 6 month long tournement that had 3 clan wars a week. I left it got to searious for my taste and was not fun any longer. It was all about winning now I want to unplug and go online and have a good time now. These 360 games are more about cover and suppress than run and gun as seen on the playstation games. I find myself running out and getting shot. ![]() |

Xbox 360 ownersYou really have to get Gears of War. They shouldn't have let you carry a 360 out of the store without it. That is the ultimate in terms of pop 'n stop and cover, etc.. you move SO slowly compared to old games. Lots of fun. R6 seems to give you a bit more mobility although not much. R6 feels so real other then you being able to heal up so easily. |
