It sucks because there are things we like about being here. The rest of the neighbors are cool, no problems.

The little one has made friends with the kids in the building, which is something I am very happy about because we used to live in the country where we didn't have neighbors that were all that close for her to hang out with.

If we could just get over this annoying neighbor thing and get the bathroom taken care of, I wouldn't have any issues with the place.

As far as the repairs - notify the landlord in writing that you have the problem in the aprtment, is they don't respond, hire someone to fix it (to a level fitting the rest of the apartment - no marble jacuzzi tubs), and deduct the amount from your rent check with a copy of the bill.

its simple. most "noise" ordinances prohibit noise before and after a certain time. say 7am to 9 or 10pm. go up there and tell them simply to either start being more considerate or the police will be involved. i used to pound on the walls/ceiling when my neighbors were loud. if they pounded back... upstairs i went. it wasnt pretty.

the mexi..er..i mean landscapers used to start cutting the grass near my apt. and work their way across the property. i was working overnight shifts. finally i told them to either start later in the day or on the other side.(where the landlord lived) that lasted about 2 weeks and the landlord made them start coming at 9 and starting on her side.

im with dan. if nothing gets done about the noise or the tub. i would start withholding rent
