Yeah I saw that. Despite what they say, the car is not totalled. 3 or 4 people have already stepped up to restore the car. Granted it will take the better part of 350k but its not a total write off like the one that Stephan Ericsson wrecked.

I think the owner was in emotional shock before truly understanding the result of the crash.

Still sucks though. Poor Enzo.

Giving a car with that kind of collectible value to a guy with little or no track experience is an incredibly stupid idea. I wonder what the hell the owner of that car was thinking.

It was to promote a movie that he was making (the owner of the Enzo is the producer).

PS: Check out the guy behind the Jersey barrier... doesn't even flinch(?!)

I made this yesterday:

That is what I read, but I still don't get it....why did he have to be driving an Enzo? Get him a (relatively) cheap F355 or something, so if he wrecks it, its not a big deal.

Personally, I think paying $1 million for an automobile....ANY automobile...is retarded.

I was thinking about this... and then a thought crossed my mind:

Advertising.

Why pay for advertising, when you can crash a $1.5 million car? EVERYONE will be talking about. It will show up on YouTube and be passed around like a cheap whore. It will be on car forums. It will be on the news.

Why does the guy behind the barrier (as the car is coming towards him) not move or flinch? Why does Griffin say, "...the brother can't drive." (Would you be making jokes after crashing your friend/associate's car?). And some article cites that the owner of the Enzo just said something to the effect of, "There are millions of things that are worse in the world..." You know that at some point, the guy was thinking the n-word and the f-word... not in that order.

It's a twisted way to look at it, but c'mon, Boston blew up over a Cartoon Network advertising campaign. (Bad pun intended)

Who knows?

PS: I agree, $1M is way too much for a car.

Thats an interesting point - I had never even heard of this movie until this car wreck video hit the internet. The video I saw didn't show the car leading up the wall, but started with the impact shot.

Guess 2 Porsche GT's got totalled making the movie too.

What a f'n dumbass, understeering an Enzo at what seems like a relatively low speed. One of the world's best handling cars, and he plows into a wall going what...40mph?

It's just a frigging car.

I don't care how many times people fantasized about servicing Mr. Enzo in the back of the Italian restaurant.

The owner apparently has enough perspective to realize it's just a car. It's not like his wife got run over by the car.

I think it's more the fact that it's $1.5M... and the owner is non-chalant about losing $1.5M like I dropped a dollar on the street. Actually, if I dropped a dollar, I'd be pretty pissed.

Isn't the Enzo kind of a challenging car to drive (like it has some kind of insane power to weight ratio or something)? I think I remember reading that Ferrari made you take some kind of driving school before you took delivery, so you didn't pull an Eddie Griffin while driving out of the parking lot.
