Always use the proper dish soap!

Ok, I am not a smart person.

Money's been tight so I bought a auto dishwasher soap that was a generic brand. I didn't like how the dishes were coming out, not very clean at all.

So in my infinite wisdom, I decided I would run the dishwasher tonight with a dab of good ole Dawn that I had for handwashing the pots and pans.

The end result...

hahah I did this once in college. We were too lazy to walk the 100 yards to the store so we figured a little dab of sink soap would be ok. Pretty much ended up the same way as you did. The one positive that came out of it was we actually mopped the floor for once and the the counters

Me and the lady friend were staying up near Mt.Washington a couple years ago. We got a ski lodge (off-season) with a jacuzi for our anniversary. She brought bubble bath.

I warned her. She didn't listen. Bad things happened.

She wanted to try again the second night. Wouldn't you know it, it bubbled up and all over the place AGAIN? You'd think the second time you try adding bubble bath to a jacuzi it wouldn't bubble everywhere, right?

She has since learned. Don't worry D, it happens.

The worst part was trying to wade through the bubbles (that got worse than that pic) to get to the stove, that had a pot boiling on it. At least I got the floor mopped at the same time. Now thats multi-tasking!

But - Did the dishes come out clean? BTW - The clothes washer will do that too if you're too lazy to walk to the store and use hand dish soap instead - just ask my college roomate.

Ha ha. Yes, mission accomplished. The dishes are indeed clean, along with the floor.

Bubble bath works great in Jacuzzi so long as you don't put in more than a teaspoonful

that's how I wash my riding gear, laundry soap in the jacuzzi along with the gear

Hey now! Note that I said the Dawn was there for handwashing the pots and pans. At least I got over throwing them in the dishwasher too! And thanks to you I have almost become anal retentive about loading the dishwasher!

Ouch. Public parental burn. I'm gonna go hide in the corner now ------>
