Big Tanks!

Our four new fermentation tanks are being rigged in today. It is very impressive how easy they make it look. Now we have to position/place them, install the piping, install the instrumentation and prep them for filling.

Should have beer in them in about two weeks!

Did you use 400lbs of copper pipe as a down payment?

Yeah and some empty kegs...

Seriously we have had a problem of people stealing our kegs also. Someone opened a truck parked in our lot and helped themselves to dozens one night! Wish I had caught them...me likes the look on ones faces when Mr Sig or SW is staring back.

400 bbl's each. We need them badly due to increased brewing demands.

We do tours everyday. Go on a thu-Sunday for lunch and get a tour from Byron. He gives a great tour and is wonderful guy.

Cheers

Very nice. We just got two 300bbl brights. I have one online and in use now (10 hours to carbonate the full tank, YIKES) and I'm going to be running the glycol and setting up the thermo-control on the other within the next couple weeks.

Our largest fermenters are only 180bbl Riply's. I can only imagine those things!

Clayton get that pinpoint carbonator going and you will be fine. Just a question but how much carbonation do you get naturally before filtering?

Our next tank upgrade will be more brights. We need more and they always seem to get pushed back in the budget.

We're using the pinpoint carbonator to get oxygen into the wort right after the heat exchanger. If I had my way we'd be using it right after the filter for carbonation. I'd gain 15 hours of time a week to take care of other things.
