Holy shit! That sure fits the definition of catastriphic failure.

We had a guy at my gun club whose .44 magnum blew up. The cylinder split in half and both pieces went through the walls about 20 feet either side. The top of the receiver went through the ceiling. He was shooting some "hot loads" a friend made for him.

I do not shoot other peoples reloads and I will not let anybody shoot mine. I have reloaded and shot thousands of rounds and I have only had one Hot round. I do not know why. I pulled apart the remaining rounds I loaded that day and they all were identical. I think there was a different problem. I was shooting some incindeary rounds and I think it detonated in my rifle. I had to kneel on the 03A3 and pull as hard as I could to open the bolt. I still haven't had it checked out nor have I fired it again.

i made the mistake once buying someones reloads....never again....

maybe bulged the chamber....seen it happen before....usually just blows the primer out......if you still have the case get out the calipers and check it all around the case head and case its self...then check the saami specs
