The well is 400' now, the pump is set at 380' . I actually checked my static level today seeing I haven't pumped any water in 3 days, I was surprised it was only 35' below the surface? Last time I checked, I put a 100' tape measure down it and never hit water, I have no idea what is happening with this? I think I'm going to call off drilling it deeper and hope for the best for now...I can drill it and re-frack it any time. As long as it recovers enough to run a house, I could care less about watering a lawn (which is what I was doing when I had the problems)

I'll check with him tomorrow but I can't say for sure he will let it go...my guess is he will...then again he may even come by and give it a look Saturday afternoon.

My biggest worry/hold up at the moment is the HVAC contractor!!!

What I was refering to with that is we are going to hang the house on Saturday and then 1st coat on Sunday, so Mark has some work to do with the inspector to get this approved. This inspection is very common but when your working part time it is a pain in the ass.

Wow, I'm exhausted!! 96 sheets total of sheetrock.. I gotta clean the mess up Tomorrow while Bob starts taping...and I have to cut the grass

Huge thanks to Bob, Todd and Bob's son John for helping out today.
Bob, I'll try and get there early tomorrow to get the stove going so we have some heat...but I can't say for sure what time!! Todd twisted my arm after you left and we drank all the beer in the cooler Needless to say, I somehow didn't get a chance to finish cleaning up the first floor

Another big thanks to Bob for taping the joints today while I cleaned and filled the screw holes (that's all he'd let me do)

Sence the HVAC company are a bunch of turds, we had to rely on the woodstove for heat today... This stove with that little fire in it sure kept the entire house warm.

Speaking of the HVAC company, they came Saturday to install the AC compressors..I heard the guy drilling a hole in the house and when I saw it at the end of the day, I wasn't to happy with what i saw!!! Who the fuck would drill a 3" hole in the side of a house to put a 1" pipe through? And then seal it up with white silicone? Any Rhode Islanders, stay away from Carn-Aire Heating and Air conditioning in Johnston, RI..They fucking suck.. Oh yeah, and what am I getting, scratch and dent units for compressors, never even run yet and they are dented up. I'm not paying this guy another dime until the compressors are fixxed and the mess he made in my siding is fixxed!!

And as soon Bob left today, I closed the lid on the joint compound bucket, cleaned the tools and went out and cut my grass

Mark, you're life'll be hell with 1 gal./minute. I grew up with that and it was pure misery. You'll forever regret not getting that taken care of as soon as you can. NEVER trust well drilling companies. Get it fixed...

I'm not to overly worried about the well, it's not like I only get 1 gallon a minute from whatever is on. When the casing is full (which it is now), There's 500+ gallons of water in reserve that I'd need to use first before running out. Just going by average standards, even at 1/2 gallon per minute, it meets the minimum standards. On average (again numbers based on standards) 1 person uses 150 gallons of water a day and my 3 bedroom septic design is only rated for 450 gallons a day...so with a full house and going by the standards, I'm not even using up the reserve in the well each day.
I honestly feel my problems at first were caused by me pumping so much water from the well and so fast, then not allowing any time to fully recover before pumping it again. I did speek with the well company today and they are sending me a full refund for the hydrofracture, and they would come back if I ever had a problem.
Tomorrow, they are coming out to take a sample of the water for a quality test, which I'm asuming will come back fine. I've drank it a few times and it has no odd tastes, and it doesn't have any odors at all. Even the filter in my basement after pumping all that water still looks clean.

Another late night tonight and again another thanks goes to Bob for the help. I put in for a weeks vacation at the end of this month that could role into 2 weeks vacation...I'm hoping for 2 weeks off.
I need to spend some time to think about what colors I want to paint walls and whatnot...and I need to choose what type of flooring I want pretty quick. Rite now it's a toss up between prefinished 3/4"x5" solid red oak, 3/4"x5" prefinished southern yellow pine, or 5/8"x 4 1/4" premium select prefinished bamboo. The bamboo has a really cool look to it and I'm leaning towards that. I gotta look at them again and decide...though there is a huge price difference in all three of them

+1 for the well situation - I've lived through it too. It sucks. At 1 gallon an hour - you only get 24 gallons a day. A few loads of laundry, a shower, and running the dishwasher and you're a weeks worth into the reserve. At worst I'd start a savings account to get a second well drilled in a few years.

Mark,

They should not have installed them on either side of your fill and vent. Every time you have to get oil, your gonna get more damage from your delivery's.

You should have let me know you were doing central AC. I am the controller for an HVAC company. What kind of condensers are those anyway?

it is crazy, 150gpd is estimated peak use per bedroom or for 2 adults, average water use is about 1/3 and those are old numbers before the modern low volume water devices that are in use today (7gal/flush vs 1.5gal/flush)

still, 1gpm is not much water, over time the vein will lose it's production

one of my employees had a 1gpm/300ft deep well that worked ok for several years, then it started going dry on laundry day, eventually he had a well driller come back in to go deeper, he went 5 more feet and hit 60gpm

Yeah, I decided to go with the Bamboo and will be ordering it tomorrow. It's also on sale at a great price!!
Lumber Liquidators: 5/8" x 3-3/4" Horiz. Carbonized Bamboo Flooring

I want to get the heating/ac system completed before I give this guy his punchlist...and there is A LOT of labor involved in fixxing that mess he made in the siding the rite way.

The well is making 1 gallon per minute, not per hour, that's 1,440 gallons a day. The first time the well went dry, keep in mind I had the lawn sprinkler that puts out 8-10 gallons per minute running for 3 hours non stop. Even if it was only making half what's on paper, 700 gallons a day is still plenty to run a house with

You should have told me you work for a HVAC company I think I said what system I was going with from the start

I'd have to look and see what kind of compressors they are, on my quote it just says two ton & 1/2 compressors...whatever that stands for

Thanks for the offer Pete, I'm probably a 2-3 weeks away from that still

I got out of work a little early today and needed a change of pace from the drywall puddy and sanding... so I started framing the deck. I had the rear sliding door and the front door open figuring I'd let some of the outside heat in sence it was so warm out today, Unfortunatly I never went in the house again after opeing the doors and 4 hours went by. Question is, how many lady bugs can fly in those openings in 4 hours? I've never seen so many lady bugs!! I had to have my father bring a shop-vac up
Hey, at least I got all the supports in place for the free standing deck.

Another big thanks goes to Bob yet again. Still won't let me puddy any joints outside the closets..but at this point, I'm perfectly ok with that

Regarding Lady Bugs..... your fucked dood.... They will be in your house for years now!..... Advise is to dry vac your entire house of lady bugs any time you see them cause they multiply daily.

The same thing happened with the retards that were working on my house... for the life of me I couldn't figure out what is wrong with opening windows with screens in place.. and keep the doors closed.

Lady Bugs: If you use ANY sort of vacuum to clean 'em up, dump it out immediately! A pile of dead lady bugs in a shop-vac causes a stink I can't describe. Even worse than you after a night of Mudweiser...

Most of the lady bugs are gone for now, I'll have to see what tomorrows forcasted warm weather brings though!!

Bob once again kicked some ass today with the drywall. It's almost ready for sanding and paint.

I spent most of the day outside building the deck. I would have had all the framing done but I ran out of nails Oh well, I'll be able to deck most of it tomorrow and wait to install the stairs and outer handrail posts

Looks great mark!

When your crew is done come to my house I need help!

I am almost done with the 1st floor bathrom/laundry room, and one more coat of paint, carpeting and hang the closet doors the Master bedroom will be done! Then when I move on it's onto the next rooms...

It's hard working full time then working on the house full time as well. I am beat. Are you guys doing this on vacations or after work and weekends? You guys are kicking ass.

I am also slacking in my thread and complete lack of pictures and updates. no time to get online, no time to eat or anything. MAKE IT STOP!!!!! I got myself into a HUGE project.
