Ouch...

Anyone ever had a 2 inches long needle poked behind their knee cap? I had it done yesterday to had a cortisone shot injected. Hurts....take your breath away. That stupid car accident left me with pain in the knee and my back, and I've been dealing with this shit since. Physical therapy didn't do anything, now I go to 2 different specialists for my back and knee. The shot did help relieve the pain in my knee...it feels better now. I still feel pain from time to time tho. I wonder how long that steroid shot will be good for...now I hope the back specialist won't suggest the same treatment...not sure I want to go thru with needles in my spine again (had 2 C-sections with epidurals, so I know how it feels like)

Needles sucks.

It didn't feel good at first...LOL I felt like my knee was full of liquid and felt really weird walking on my leg for a few hours after the shot. Today, I can squat on both my legs, without having to put all the weight on my right leg coming back straight up, like I used to do before, because it would hurt too much and I felt like my left knee was going to give up on me. It is great, today I tried to squat a few times and didn't feel ANY pain coming back up...that stuff did little miracles. She said the relief might last for a few weeks, and the pain could come back later. For now, it's all good. My back hurt a lot tho, so we'll see what they're gonna do with that... *cringe*

I took an angle grinder with a cut off wheel to the knee and they had to pump fluid from the other side of my knee cap to see if it would come out on cut side. Not a fun experience so i feel your pain. I also had a quater size hole to the left of my knee cap they had to stitch up, ouch....

Those steroid shots last a few days if you're lucky.

Not a good idea if there is a lot of cartilage damage.

She said the bones under my knee cap are severely bruised from the accident (that was on Nov. 29th 2006!). Explain what you mean please...

Bone bruises take a long time to heal.
Just need to be patient with it. My wife was hit by a
car while bicycling and it took her a full year before she
could really feel good with her knee.
