got my car towed last night. I was at some bigass bar right on the water in the North End w/ some friends, took off early (1:30am) b/c of work today, & only found an empty space...

hundred & twenty dollars to get it out, plus another $50 in cab rides finding my dam shitbox. Cabs a re my enemy. I always feel the need to get the guy's life story & give him/her a big tip.

eventually I made it home but not till 4:30am after walking around aimlessly & confused before getting in a damn cab to find a bank & the car. At some point I though it would be a smart idea to walk all the way back to Stoneham, so I just started walking North. That didnt work. I had to find an atm to get some cash for a damn cab, THEN find an Eastern Bank to transfer the $$ to get teh car out. I've never been happier to get behind the wheel of my puttering 92 Subaru. I asked the guy how much for him to keep the car & he wasnt too amused. Though this was at about 4am, he weighed about 400lbs, & the room practically shook while he was breathing. I think he might have been having a heart attack or something.

I got 3 hours of sleep & my brain isnt working right... i'm thinking of doing it all again tonight

the best is when the tow company only accepts cash. it's fun driving around with the cabbie trying to find an atm when he has only been in the city for less than a week. you know it's good when he is asking you if he should take a left and you have only been in the city (Denver, CO) for less than 3 days.
