Driving school...do or don't?

It's a long story but......

Do you think it's the right thing to do, for a driving teacher during a driving lesson to have the driver and passenger change places while stopped on the bridge???? (the bridge was open)

I thought I was paying this guy to teach my kid to be a responsible driver, and I don't think changing driver's in the middle of the road, even though stopped with the emergency brake on was the right thing to do.

What do you think?

Chinese fire drills, a very thorough instructor.

good motor vehicle skill to have

I don't see a problem, I've never done it at a bridge before, only redlights

If the bridge was open as in "up," and traffic was stopped, I don't see a big deal. If at a stoplight at a busy intersection, that's worse.

I'd vote nay on that one - at least I wouldn't think that would be good idea for a "driving instructor" to do. I know traffic was stopped and the bridge opened but still, I think he/she should have pulled off the road, parked the car, then switched drivers.

I think it's great if done in a safe situation. Loosens up the atmosphere, makes the kids feel comfortable and shows the intructor has a sense of humor. Those things can go a long way to a kid in a tense situation/atmosphere. Hell, we got lit with our old driving instructor! It's why he always had full classes!
