"spots" on my car paint..??

I'm freakin pissed off. I've done the clay bar on my car, then cleaner wax. I have those little spots all over the hood, most like "water spots" that have dried. I can't get rid of them!! HELP!?!! I wouldn't want to wax over that them if there is a way to get rid of them now... but I know I can't leave my car without a layer of wax for too long...

try a good polishing compound, if that doesn't work you can always try a rubbing compound.

"spots" on my car paint..??

The cleaner wax left an ugly film that I could rub off either. Yes, I did change rags often, always taking a clean corner and keep going. Then I tried a small area with a polishing compound...and MAGIC...the cleaner wax film is GONE, and I think it did help for the spots...I'll see better tomorrow, as I just finished doing it, along with windows in and out, light beams, trunk, etc. (10:30 in the house...*sigh*), tomorrow I have to do the carnauba wax, brush the tire rims, clean the interior, around doors, etc.

Man it's a big job but now my car look all new again...

Maybe it is tree sap. I think there was someone on here who had a bitch of a time getting it off.

the "water" spots are still there.... My husband said it's probably acid from rain...I doubt it. Maybe some previous automated car wash I went to that had bad soap or somthing?

sorry

do not keep going with abrasives or you will be through the paint

Unfortunately some things can stain the paint/clear coat especially now that paint is the BS water paint.

tree sap, eggs, some overspray from industrial cleaning etc.

If the paint is stained then only rubbing it off will work... not good.

I read somewhere that vaginal secretions work well for that.
