Nice areas to buy a house in/near Boxborough?

A friend of mine is thinking of relocating up from VA for work, and his new job would be in Boxborough. He currently has a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house (3000 ish square feet including the finished basement), 1/3 acre property.

He was wondering what areas near Boxborough are nice, and where he could buy a similarly setup house. The closer to Boxborough/495 the better.

The only reason I ask is because I have no real knowledge of MA west of Boston.

Thanks gang.

Anywhere in or around Boxboro is nice, that is a high class area, if he can aford that area then good for him, there are no bad areas, you got Boxboro, Stow, Harvard, Berlin, Acton, Maynard and Littleton in that area, all with in 15 minutes of 495/ rt 2 .. Just off the top of my head your looking at 300K ish and up for a house like that in that area, so tell him not to forget his wallet...

Yes, he does pretty well from what I understand, and I know living in VA isn't cheap.

Anyone else?

What's the price range he is after?

Acton/Boxborough is an ok area but 300k gets you a shack there and most of the people there bug me . Next door is Littleton, a little better pricewise but it's

Guess the question is where does he want to frequent? NH or Boston? Boxborough is in a decent location (centrality wise) but route 2 sucks.
