old stove disposal?

I know there's a bunch of yellow page listings where I can pay to have it gone, but is there a free way to get rid of an old stove?

I have a truck, so I can transport it if necessary.

just show up to an appliance store, and drop it off in the disposal area./.

thanks...didn't know a transfer station existed until now...I found one in the next town over, so I'll try them tomorrow
