I need to clean mine out and organize it...anyone got a good one to show off, or some ideas for to apply to my parent's?

I just cleaned mine out.. I should take a pic. Nothing special, but much more organized and didn't cost me more than a few bucks. The key is to get as much stuff off the floor as possible. I got more shit hung up on the walls than a Friday's restaurant.

my garage isn't that nice.

only one wall is drywall, the other two walls aren't finished. i only put hangers/hooks on the exposed frame.

i got that epoxy floor paint stuff from home depot and am very happy with it. just needed a nice cleaning of the floor with a degreaser then roll it on like any other paint.....through the little chips everywhere and you are good to go. Its been down for about a month now and any clean up is just a wipe of a rag.

Make sure you get a garage paint thats meant for a garage. Normal basement or floor paint cant take the heat from tires and that sort of business. The other thing is if you use some kinds of epoxys you'll smoke the garage out with fumes for a LOOONG time. The solvent bases smell but tend to stand up better than waterbases. The other downside to most epoxies is if you get any moisture coming up through the ground it will pop the coating right off the floor. Leads to quite a message, so be sure to do the proper preparation and dont listen to what anyone at home depot tells you.

Concrete is the toughest surface for painting, Ive worked in a paint store for 4 years and I still tend to get confused. The best advice I can give you is find a store that knows what they are talking about, a small private store, not a home depot, and pick their brain. Youll end up paying more for a good product, but its definitely worth it.

Heh. Its actually four seasons. AC for the summer, Stove for the winter (with cowboy-coffee pot so I don't have to take the extra 15 steps into the kitchen for coffee.) Makeshift welding table to the left, main workbench center on the back wall, and the mill/lathe is on the left. I got a bike lift now, and another workbench for motors. I suppose I should take another picture.

Beet, what've you got in the other garage thats taking up precious space? I burned everything that was polluting the space in mine.
