Loosing my garage space, this sucks

I will no longer have a garage to store my 7 motorcycles in starting August 24th. That leaves a little more than a month to find a place for all my bikes, my tools, welder, 3 compressors, outboard motor, two lawnmowers, riding gear for street, racing and dirt, racing equipment and tons of chemicals/lube. Shit.








So I guess I'll have to find a place in our walk out basement, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths or anywhere on our 3 full acres. Ya know, until I pour the foundation for the 3 stall extra height extra deep garage with great room, patio and gym above it.

We got the house

Royalston here we come!!!!!!!!!!

That's a pretty damn good price and I'm assuming you got it for less than what they were asking!

I really like the kitchen. Mine is in some serious need of updating. All it takes is money!

Yeah, from our starting offer we went up $6k. He went down from original asking price $43k

The house was built brand new in late 2004. It's practically a new house!

Alright, so the saga continues:

Guy is filling out the sellers disclosure today (three days late). P&S is being faxed over for my approval right now. We're due to sign it on or by the 25th.

Home inspection with comprehensive water test, flow test and radon (~$700!!!!) is on Friday afternoon. If everything is legit, we sign the P&S and we'll be due to close on the 24th of August.

Any advice from people who have done this before?

-exercise your writing hand.

-Plan on it taking all day, because then if it doesn't you have the rest of the time to play.

-Have Erin ask them what the easiest way to change her name on the mortgage will be (I assume she's on it too), so that once youa re married she has the direct person to call and no games to play tog et the whole mess resolved.

Congratulations!!!!

My advice - make a few stops on the way to the signing. An ATM - take out $100. The liquor store - buy a bottle of champagne and two glasses.

The instant the last form is signed (steal the pens - you paid for them anyway) pop the cork and drink away. It's your day, and you've earned it.

Then - take the $100 and go out to lunch or dinner. Enjoy it to the fullest - it will probably be the last money you see for a little while.

BTW - For a while - a big Friday night will involve a trip to the Home Depot

It's all worth it in the long run.
