Re: Michael Vick Situation

its been about a year now since 66 dogs (53 pitbulls) were confiscated from Vicks VA home. i watched "Animal Witness" on Animal Planet last night about this case, it was very interesting and sad at the same time. it does have a happy ending though. although the most people wrote these dogs off as dead, they found homes for 51 of them. only 2 were put down. one for aggression and one for medical. a company called Bad Rap : Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pit bulls took about 13 of them back to Cali. while others found homes through various rescues. Bad Rap was brought in by the Feds to do behavioral tests on the dogs after all was said and done and while dogs are usually destroyed if involved in dog fighting the sheer magnitude of the case gave these dogs a second chance. BAD RAP owners were amazed to find NO dog aggression from these animals or people aggression. if you get a chance to watch it then please do or TiVo it if you have to. any non believers out there that its the owners not the dogs then this is a MUST WATCH.

Re: Michael Vick Situation

I meant to watch that last night but I forgot. I will have to see when it will be on again.

I have been following the stories of these dogs pretty closely and it is a great what has become of a bad situation. The positive press that is resulting from this mishap is showing people the true nature of these dogs.

I watched this last night as well. It was truly an amazing show. Prior to watching the show I didn't believe the dogs could be rehabilitated. I was amazed at what I saw. Thankfully the most of the dogs were adopted and given a second chance at a great life.
