i basically got the 'your bike or me' ultimatum from this girl I've been dating. her mom does research on brain damage & most of the patients were in motorcycle accidents. she even had the nerve to call me "stupid".

I even tried to explain the whole Trackday thing & she still wouldnt budge. i kicked that brainwashed bitch to the curb. shame cuz she was a hottie. next?

I knew someone that tried that. He ended up running wide in a corner and ran his EX250 off the road and into a field. His neck broke and then he died.

it's not like I stormed outta her place all pissed off & got on my bike. this happened at lunch yesterday, so I got to go back to work & be pissey & bitter for another 4 hours. i did get to ride in the evening & it was just what I needed to get & keep things off my mind.

Form someone who has been there - Ultimatums suck, and they usually don't stop... Take a look at her parents relationship - it's a great portal to see into the future...

Her Mom did some research on motorcycles - good for her. Have her Mom do some research on pedestrians crossing the street, or the average Joe doing home improvement projects. Accidents happen, and sometimes people get hurt. Knowledge, protection, skill, and ability limit this...

Free advice - don't change yourself to be the person someone wants you to be. Be you, and find someone that likes that. Good luck...

That's not what I meant. i don't like 9 out of 10 girls that ride. And I wouldn't date 99 out of 100 girls that ride. I don't like the common attitude of something to prove to the world. I don't like the constant side comments about how great they are at riding, and bullshit 'faster than you' comments when they can't navigate a corner to save their life. I don't like the need to be the center of attention. I don't like the false projection of the tough badass chick when they're fragile as the last block in jenga. I don't like the too cool attitude, that they won't get on the back seat cause they've got their own, so instead we have to wait for them every five minutes and listen to them complain about something wrong with the bike, or the road, or their shoes. And the rant could go on and on, i've dated plenty of girls with bikes, and without, and I've been around girls on bikes for a long long time. Just like girl on girl action, it does nothing for me.
