´ Police Chief Don English´ interpretation of a new law that takes effect in Mansfield on Sept. 15

Anyone caught wearing sagging pants who exposes his or her underwear will be subject to a fine of up to $150 plus court costs, or face up to 15 days in jail.

Mansfield aldermen voted unanimously at today´ 4:30 p.m. meeting to enact the new law.

The law makes it illegal to found in a state of nudity, or partial nudity, or in any indecent exposure of his or her person or undergarments, or be guilty of any indecent or lewd behavior.

City attorney Richard Z. Johnson Jr. said he used a similar law in Delcambre as a guideline in creating Mansfield´ ordinance. Several municipalities and parish governments in Louisiana have enacted similar laws in recent months.

so wheres it end? so what do you guys think? i think this is ridiculous. are you really serious? your going to fine people because their pants hang low? comon.... i think it looks stupid but ive got better things to worry about and so should these people. doesnt their county or state have bigger problems then people wearing their pants a bit low? whats next? put the plumber with the ass crack hanging out in jail for a year? what if they said leather jackets were liable to be fined? some people need to get a life.

I love seeing these punks walk around with their pants around their ankles. Once they go to jail they'll realize exactly how cool it is. Bubba will know who's willing and who's not. Lets see......you're 30 years old, hmmmmmmmm let me think for a minute here....what was in style back in 93 when you were 16 years old???? Damn! I can't even remember those years......from 90 through 94 I was in a haze

Never said I was a saint, but if I ever tried to leave the house dressed like a douche bag, my parents would have beat the snot out of me. I wore jeans and a t-shirt the proper way throughout my entire childhood. I guess I had good parents.
