Any fans of the band Tool.... and have you been to a concert?

I went last Saturday to see them in Augusta. They fricken rocked, Maynard was awesome.

However, I must be getting old. I don't know how many little shits I saw get carried out of the place. Either passed out or pukin' all over themselves. Now, I could understand going to a Godsmack or NIN show and getting fooked up.... but Tool? Maybe a little aroma therapy to set the mood, but so f'd up you need to be transported outt a there.

Also, did something happen to the rules of combat in the mosh pit? Since when did it become acceptable to throw left hooks and right jabs? I spent more time bobbing and weaving then I did jammin' and slammin'.....

I guess I'll just stay at home and listen to 'em there... where I can body surf the missus without getting "that" hurt!

i don't think i'm quite big enough for the mosh pit, though...

Hehehe, I quickly grew tired of the mosh show scene. She always had to be as close to the front row as possible...so I inevitably got my ass beat pretty hard trying to keep people from killing her. I'd rather relax and enjoy the music, than fend for my life (though I'd be lying if I didn't enjoy it when some little fuck would come smash into me and then fall over when I didn't move an inch )

Countless times I'd be pushing through the crowd (I went to about 8x more concerts than movies in the past 4 years), and come to an open circle...I'd try to be nice and skate around the edge then back into the crowd. Lots of kids in those pits...and one would almost ALWAYS run up and cross-arm me. Usually I had a good foot and a half on 'em, and double the weight. The usual response was to look up at me and give me the 'ok I'm sorry, please don't hit me ' wave and head back into the mix.

Kids... gotta love 'em! Or at least act threatening enough to intimidate them.
