Concrete From Overpass Falls Onto I-295Concrete From Overpass Falls Onto I-295 Monday, Aug 20, 2007 - 02:40 PM Updated: 03:05 PM CUMBERLAND, R.I. -- Concrete from a highway overpass has fallen onto Interstate 295. It happened Monday afternoon in Cumberland near Exit 10 at the Mendon Road overpass. Cumberland Police Lt. Joseph Louro says chunks of concrete from the Mendon Road Bridge fell onto the northbound travel lanes of the highway. Police have closed all northbound lanes in that area. There were no immediate reports of injuries. The size of the concrete chunks was not immediately known. Louro says the Mendon Road Bridge is closed to traffic. The Department of Transportation is investigating and is at the scene |

Concrete From Overpass Falls Onto I-295On the way home the sign said right lane only at exit 10 and traffic delay at exit 10. I took 9 so I didnt see it. So I think its partially open. Bruce |
