Changing car tiresYou live in New England. That means before your tires are bald your rims have been pot holed to $hit. So, go to Tire Rack and order new rims and tires. They come balanced so all you have to do is mount them. Last edited by Cheese-GSXR : 12-09-07 at 09:50 PM. |

Changing car tiresI've used these guys Pete's Tire Barns - Distribution of Retail, Commercial and Specialty Tires in New England for over 40 years I've shopped all over the area for tire deals and have had great luck with them. They're worth a call! Tell them Elvis sent you... |

Changing car tiresWell I already got some nice winter tires for $300 off craigslist. They only have 500 miles on them. They were literally mounted for last winter and immediately pulled off since they were on a leased car and the lease was up. They are mint and the guy paid over $800 for them for his wifes car. I'm just gonna take them to Firestone. I can use the money I would have spent on new tires to have them mounted and balanced. I just wasn't sure if someone from the forum did them or knew someone. I'd prefer to give the money to one of you guys anyways. And besides, the dealer wanted a ridiculous amount to do it. I do plan to buy some nice wheels and high performance tires (probably from tire rack) though. So I'll use the stock 17" Inifiniti wheels as my dedicated snows and get some bigger rims. |

Cheese, I think the guy must have purchased them at the lexus dealer in order to spend $800. Bridgestone Blizzaks are going for $110 at TireRack and that's one of the cheaper places to get tires. So even if they were more than $110, that still doesn't come close to $800. I know my dealer quoted me at $180/tire but they didn't say what kind. |
