so i passed out at work today...

yep. right in the middle of giving damn report!

i come home from college to pick up a few extra hours (gotta get money for the new bike somehow ), first day back in like 2 months. I'm talking to one of the nurses about a patient we're both taking care of and out of nowhere I feel faint and nauseas. I'm like "uhhhh i've sit down...now" about 4 paces later boom hit the floor. thankfully one of the nurses saw my lack of color and made it to me before i bashed my head off the tile floor

So after a lovely hospital breakfast in the ER and a liter of IV of fluid, I'm home, still poor and relaxing

moral of the story: sleep more than an hour and a half before going to work... if you don't and attempt it anyway, eat breakfast and drink something!

and no i'm not pregnant, i don't have diabetes, and i don't have a heart condition lol

I passed out when i was acolyting once.... it was during the Prayers for the People. It was trippy.

I think every acolyte/altar boy/girl is required to pass out at least once during a service in their carreer... It's like the unwritten 11th commandment or something. Usually it's staring into the candles that gets em but I wasn't doin that.

I used to be on that 2 hours of sleep then work schedule.... never passed out but I fell asleep at some pretty inopportune times.

At least you were conveniently in a hospital.

I pass out at the sight of needles or razor blades going into someone's skin (but no my own, strangely). I once walked into a room where people were watching Pink Floyd's "The Wall" right when Bob Geldof was shaving his chest and cutting it with a razor blade. I fell flat on my face.

Re: so i passed out at work today...

I've had alot of head rushes in my time but never passed out luckily. I don't know if this fits in the same category but I once got a bad dizzy spell where I felt faint but I was spinning like as if I just rolled down a hill. Had to kneel down on my knees and wait it out. I was working in a house with multiple pets which I'm allergic too and I think some fluids reacted from my allergic reaction and got silly in my sinus's which effected my equalibrium. Not the best time for that while on a ladder.

Re: so i passed out at work today...

I passed out after I broke my hands in a highside in T4. I had the decency to walk to the ambulance posted up in 8 and tell the guys "It's only my hands and I'm likely to pass out" before I laid on the stretcher and passed out.

When I woke up they were like, thanks for the warning.

ouch.... Both hands??? eesh.

When I broke my wrist last year I told the cornerworkers, the ambulance crew, the people in the Med Center and at the walk-in clinic straight faced that I broke my wrist... when they asked me if I was sure I was like "hahaha, oh yeah... I'm sure". They all looked at me funny cuz I didn't look like I was in pain (I wasn't really... my arm was just in shock), but BOY was I right

Re: so i passed out at work today...

right scaphoid, left pinkie joint exploded.

The pinkie was the one the really friggin hurt. Wrist didn't hurt til I tried braking into T1 a couple hours later... I could only manage 20s and 21's without using the front brake...

I had a mathematical chance at the championship that year, si I tried to race. I don't reccommend it. I was lucky not to fuck up my wrist...

Re: so i passed out at work today...

I was walking out of spiderbite in manchester w/ a friend back to my car, felt light headed a bit and as I went to open my door BAM colapsed right to the pavement, my friend looked around and started laughing i guess cuz she thought i was playing a joke on her but i had no idea wtf was going on.

same thing happened at the mall once when i was like 17, flat on my face in the middle of the isle.
