Re: BMW concept

I wonder if this "fabric" skin would effect aerodynamics of the car- would the wind go through it? is it breathable? would it bounce off it? Neat stuff all the same.

Re: BMW concept

Well he had something behind him, and made reference to it taking 2 hours to put the skin on. But who knows.

yea see- if it were a physical prototype, they would've pulled the cover off and made a big show about it. And he showed the silver material in his hand- clearly just a sample. Also, the movie shots of the car completely lack any human interaction- if this thing were real they'd put it in in perspective with a human model. I'm thinking its for sure CG....they better make it for reals or else its just one big cock tease

Re: BMW concept

I think it was more about keeping the car pure. I dont think BMW would put out a trailer, then a day around a CG

just cus the skin is fabric doesn't mean the bones aren't metal. I'm sure the crashworthiness is just fine.

I don't think I have ever heard a woman say cock tease before. Shouldn't you be saying clit tease or something?

Re: BMW concept

It would have to be some pretty incredibly tough fabric. Think of the pine pitch, bugs, asphalt, etc that you clean off your car. Not to mention it standing up to UV rays, acid rain, etc and not degenerating.

I can imagine someone sending the car through the automatic car wash and it catching a loose thread like a sweater... Hah!
