2) I personally hate when "estabilished" forum members automatically discredit any online "newb"...when in fact they could be more intelligent/funny/better rider than anyone on the existing scene...BUT that said, I see the point of this post in that it is annoying when a new person rubs everyone the wrong way. Everyone being people that post on here and are used to a layout/pattern of interaction going on

I was just reading the intro threads of the newbies and noticed how harsh all you vets are. I know that this is all in good fun and you're only (half) joking around. It occurred to me though that one of the things someone ripped on me for was being a newbie and coming in and busting people's balls like I've been around for a while. WELLLLLLLL... I think that by telling people to fuck off the first time they post, it sort of sets a tone that its ok to do so. I'm just sayin, if you have a problem with newbies throwing it back, perhaps you should tone it down when welcoming them.

It's all for fun tho, we don't really want to scare them away. I think it's been a new trend too, because I don't remember the vets welcoming newbies this way a while back. We're just getting older and grumpy.

I got recruited by Slyder off a "Gixxah!" forum, Gixxer.com. I had a new bike and was looking for information at the time. I had signed up hear over a year ago and just forgot about it until he brought me back over.

Even though I look like a newb with my post count, can I transfer over my post count from the two other bike forums that I used to peruse??
