Healthier Lifestyles?

Ok for those who want to loose weight, ya eating healthier and exercising works well.

So what about those of us who can't gain weight? Any ideas? other than drink alot and sit on our asses?

Ya I know most of you hate us cause we are thin and basically always will be.

I've tried many different ways to gain weight but I just can't get over 190 lbs and I stand 6'4. WTF!

Any ideas?

And if you are asking why I would like to gain weight, even at 190lbs and 6'4 I still look skinny. At 36, I'd like to be about 210 or 220, it would fit my frame very well.

Try fucktons and fucktons of high-protein calories, and weightlift to put on muscle. I have a friend that struggles to keep weight on, and that's how he does it. He's 6'5" and ~240lbs. Maybe it'll work for you!

I've tried, 6 moonths straight, gym every day, working out, 6000 calories a day, religously and only gain like 10 lbs and as soon as I take a break my body sheds the weight. Dude it sucks!!!!!!

6 months isn't going to cut it. Just like weightloss for the rest of the world, it's a long ongoing process to make a significant, permanent change in your body type. Have you talked to a trainer or nutritionist? They may have some insight that could help.

Re: Healthier Lifestyles?

Calorie intake vs. calories burned, simple as that.

Eat a couple hundred more calories and go to the gym to put on a couple pounds of muscle. Like Stoneman said, we're not talking about a temporary fix here, it's a lifestyle change that you need to accept for the rest of your life or it's not going to work. When you give it up, you'll lose weight just like those that lost weight by cutting calories and gave it up then gained the weight back.

Re: Healthier Lifestyles?

I used to be 6'3" 150 lbs.

Its a simple thing: eat more. More calories. I ate a lot of pasta, steak, burgers, etc.
Make sure you get on the gym. I assume you are not looking to gain fat, so avoid cardio, and get into a good weight training routine.

I'm now 6'3" 225. Hell, I could afford to lose a bit of weight now.
