U guys see this crap, almost $7 a pack in MA now. I almost lost it this morning in Boston and figured it would be different out of the city. Nope $6.68 for a pack of newports in methuen. Where do they get off?

Yea 2 days ago cigarette tax went up $1. It blows, but what can you do.

Oh I know, drive to NH once a month and stock up. Which is exactly what those who opposed the new tax said many more people in Mass are going to start doing. And as a matter of fact, that is the reason NH has NOT raised cigarette prices... they are relying on us Massholes to come up there.

I was walking downtown boston just before New years Eve with 7 friends after we all went out drinking and eating and I realised that even though 7 out of 8 of us all smoked when we first met (over 10 years ago)... Now I was the only one that still smoked. I made that my last cigarette ever. 6 months and roughly $600 richer. I just make it a point to stay away from smoking cigarettes now. I haven't quite so much as I have stopped for the next 30 years. Then I will start up again if I feel like it.

LOL... whatever it takes I guess. I hate it. Both of my parent smoked when I was little. My mom quit when I was about 5, my dad still smokes about 3 packs a day. There is nothing worse than coffee/cigarette breath. Makes me nauseous. Its actually a deal breaker for me. I can't see myself ever dating anyone who smokes.
