Re: BlackBerry fix

wow, it came in less than 2 days.

So far...

I like it. It def cuts down on my texting while driving - but that is a good thing. My first phone call with my fiance and he couldn't believe how well the sound quality was compared to my old razor.

I like getting my email but also now realize how i don't get very many emails.

I just want to get some real ring tones and figure out how to get the setup wizard off of the front screen.

Yes pearl 8130.

get a microSD memory card. I believe the 8130's use BlackBerry OS 4.1 which supports memory cards up to 4gb. You can get great prices on newegg.com & i would suggest a SanDisk, Corsair or Kingston memory card.

Throw your songs on the memory card, and then you can assign custom rings to certain callers or functions (calender, tasks, calls, ect)

Re: BlackBerry fix

ok so this morning

all text message gone out of my box, i did set it for 15 days
All call history is gone
It won't let me into my address book, at all. But if I manually put a number in, and they were saved. The address book shows up.

Any ideas?

I did get the warranty on it so i want to know if you think it is fubared or if there is a setting on it i missed.

Oh and one point I couldn't make a call because it said the radio got turned off.

I did power it off and on again but it didn't help.

Do a reset. Pull the battery out and put it back in.

And doing a power off, even a full power off, doesn't reset the memory. So if you're running short on memory, you need to do a hard reset by pulling the battery.

I normally have my phone do a 5 minute auto power off and on nightly and pull the battery maybe every 2 weeks on my 8300 Curve.

Re: BlackBerry fix

I thought it might be this but wasn't sure of the symptoms.

Thanks!
