Summer's almost here, and I'm going shopping. A few questions for you folks.

- You can't always wear sneakers without looking like you're constantly on your way to the gym. What do you wear w/shorts when it's hot out? I hate feet, so sandals are out, and Doc Martens w/socks and shorts just don't cut it.

- Brown shoes with Jeans. Black socks don't really look right, and brown socks look like an old man should be wearing them. White doesn't work either.. What do you wear?

- White/black sneakers - I wear those really short socks. Does black work?

I almost always wear sneakers when I'm not at work, and I have never felt like I 'look like I'm on my way to the gym'. That seems like a pretty weird perception about people who wear sneakers.

OK, Chris- here's a real answer:

I stumbled across Merrells by accident a coupla years ago. definitely the most comfortable shoes I've EVER worn... by a long shot. semi-stylin', w/out being major-league dorky...IMO

Nothing wrong at all with 'em... I'm just saying that there's times when you don't want to wear sneakers.

Example: The Rack in Boston. When it's 100* out, you can wear shorts there, but no sneakers.

The last time I did that, I spent $1000 on shit and was faggoted up like an Abercrombie model. 99% of it went to the Goodwill bin.

I was thinking a pair of Indoor Soccer shoes are kind of inbetween, and pretty versatile.
