April 19 (Saturday) Support the Troops
Saturday, April 19th from noon until 2:00 p.m

The goal here is to line the shore roads in one continuous stretch from Castle Island in South Boston all the way across Wollaston Beach in Quincy At least 15,000 people are needed to cover all that area in a massive ‘support the troops’ standout. There will be three meeting locations prior to the standout. L Street Bathhouse, the Vietnam War Memorial on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester and the Squantum end of Wollaston Beach. What to Bring: Yourself and a flag, banner, sign or anything else to show your support

Sounds like it would look pretty cool, but sheesh it's pretty much pointless. I got something much better to do anyways that day. Turning 21 that day.

If it wasn't for our military over the years you might not have the freedom and privlages to do as you please. I realize that turning 21 is important but so is showing support to our troops keeping our country safe.
