What's everyone doing on the 4th? Who has the best fireworks?

A rare weekend home and no plans for tomorrow. unusual, since it's a holiday.

Wanted to know who has good fireworks. Was thinking about heading up to the ones in Whitinsville, MA.

Anyone planning on riding? Or is this out of the question on a holiday?

Manchester has a great show...been going for about 10 years! Was supposed to be tonight but because of the weather it's been pushed to Sunday!

Big family cookout at my house tomorrow that will last well into the evening and early am hours

Neighbors may think I'm a little nuts after this one, my uncles buy gunpowder by the pound and make their own cannons

MIT frat party...it was either that or get wasted with all the guys in my family. thought i'd change it up a bit since thats what we always do anyway...plus i can blaze at the party

Mignon's on the BBQ Nice and fuckin tender! Then fireworks @ Salisbury Beach 10pm. Salisbury will have fireworks every Saturday night all summer.

Recovering from the 3rd, BBQ, all night party up the street, back to the house for drinks and fireworks.

I hate crowds, but if I'm going to deal with them it's worth going to the show in Boston. It's always spectacular. Sad that I can't make them this year.

doing a 2-up ride with Annalisa. We're now headed for a carny in Millbury, MA where we used to live. They usually have decent fireworks there.

Rode a little bit today; weather was iffy at best.

Fireworks tonight at Hampton with my grandmother and my girlfriend.

Portsmouth fireworks tomorrow night with the girlfriend and her family.

Trying to squeeze some riding in there somewhere.

Court Monday.

just got back from NYC. Took the family down on Friday and stayed in Times Square. Checked out the Statue of Liberty today and drove back. Going to see the fire works on the Charles in a few hours. Maybe ride tomorrow if I am not flat dead.

No you are doing it wrong, if the Mignons on the BBQ and you're on NESR typing, you're over cooking it. About 5-10 seconds on each side and they're done

Her torch has been closed for a long time due to structural reasons but before 911 I could proceed to the viewing windows in her crown. For me it was disappointing to have to pass through security screening (the same as at an airport) before boarding the ferry and then be told that I could only walk around her pedestal and not enter the statue itself which I had done on prior visits. I don't know, it just felt wrong to have so much protection around a symbol of freedom. Perhaps it's just me.
