Well it have been long battle with Ct. DMV , but i finally got the title for the R6 that was taken from me nearly three month's ago.

Has anyone ever had a bike taken from them and had to send in the title to there Insurance co.? If so how long did it take you to get the $$$$$ from them?

I hope to be on the road by the end of next month.

Don't know bout stolen, wrecked I do know took proaly 1 week to get the money, but that's wrecked... If the ins has the title then every VIN check in the US knows it's a stolen bike, and they should be sending you the cake asap, best bet would be to calll the ins and ask then what the hell is taking soooo long...

It all depends on the insurance company.

My 2 experiences dealing with the insurance company for stolen bikes were both bad experiences... My first bike was a 1975 triumph... It got stolen, and the insurance company gave me $800 bucks for it(1/3 of its blue book value at the time), 3 months after it was stolen. My second experience with the insurance company was when my cbr1100xx got stolen, and the insurance company gave me NO money for that one... nothing, zilch. I ate the $9000 loss. The reasoning there was that I was 'negligent' because I didn't know when exactly the bike was stolen. It was over the winter while the bike was wrapped up in back of my apartment. I would go out and check on it once every few weeks, just to think about riding it again, but not every day, and when I filed the police report, honest little me decided to say 'no I don't really know exactly when it was stolen' and hence gave the insurance company a chance to fuck me in the ass.

Good luck dealing with yours. If I were you I'd call the bastards every day till they gave me a definitive answer about when you will get your money.

Cheers,
Chris
