I just got back from purchasing my first tank of premium gasoline ever, I'm no longer a leftist. I now say we should bomb the middle east repeatedly until oil is cheaper than bottled water.

Oh wait. Oil *is* cheaper then bottled water. Guess it worked

Damn skippy. It's what the owner's manual recommends, and I have no detonation problems at 87. On the really hot days I might dump 91 in there for some extra insurance but that's it.

Kawasaki recommends 90+ octane for the 2000 and up 6Rs, but that's because they bumped compression from 11.8 to 12.8...

I was wondering why the service manual recommended you bathe in the blood of your enemies before performing an oil change. Makes sense now.

It doesn't specify if you should switch to a heavier weight blood in the summer months though. Suppose that's left up to the rider...

Don't you mean "bathe in the blood of your friends"?
