Umm... anyone else figure it's fake?

Still an amusing computer animation or whatever it is, and well done.

so, basically, at this point I can't tell if you're just pulling my leg or not, mut anyway:

IT'S NOT REAL!!!

ah, yes, he presents notebook paper and math! it must be real!

you realize that SONY, with all their money and manpower, impressed the techy community like last year with a robot that can WALK UP STAIRS! There's so much rediculousness here that I'm not even gonna get into it. It's a clever web page, and I like it in the way I like SCI-FI stuff in general, but believe me, there is absolutely no way this thing is real. If you can somehow prove it's existance to me, I will give you $1000. If you've noticed my recent posts, you'll know that that's like 33% of my entire net worth. Trust me, it's fake.

ok so u say it cant be real. so why would this guy list all types of reference, if its not. what makes you say its not real just by looking at it , are you saying the technology is not there or are you going by what you saw on your screen. whats to stop someone from taking sonys idea and make it bigger, if he put sony on his list i guess it would have been more believable.

Nice rendering and Clever Hoax.

The dead give-aways are the backgrounds in all the robot scenes (you would want a "blue screen" to work in front of in order to track your movements precisely when building a 3D rendering), one of the backgrounds even has a nice little grid for making precise measurements during the animation work, so the visuals will appear completely smooth to the viewer and lifelike. The problem is that they are so smooth, they are no longer "robotic!"

He also provided links to credible robot research websites in order to give the appearance of legitimacy. But no freelance engineer could ever drum up the needed resources to complete such a project, especially while casually using some mini cooper parts to make it more of a challenge to build!!

If you study this guy's interviews to see how he presents his "science," it only takes 2 seconds to notice he's not talking about the project by memory, but actually looking down at the notepad under his hands and reading from it!!!

Hahahha!

Haha, dude, I'm just messin' with ya, I don't have any proof to back up my claims...

You should try to get some more detailed footage of the robot though and go collect on that $1000 bucks... None of us have provided conclusive proof of anything, just our opinions. Whether or not those vids were real, I'm glad you posted this thread, it was cool to check out!!
